Dylan Fletcher MBE first sailed aged 11 when his parents sent him to learn during a summer holiday. At 13 years old he started sailing at Northampton Sailing Club. After moving up from the 405 fleet, Fletcher became the 29er Under-19 World Champion in 2006. He then transitioned into the 49er and climbed the ranks while collecting medals along the way. In 2017, Fletcher and his sailing partner Stuart Bithell medalled at every regatta, winning both the European and World Championships. The pair went on to win gold for Great Britain in the men’s 49er class at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Fletcher added to his two previous World Championship titles with gold at the Moth Worlds in Buenos Aires in 2022. In 2023, Dylan joined Sir Ben Ainslie's British Challenge for his first America’s Cup campaign where he co-helmed the team’s AC75. The crew went on to win the Louis Vuitton Cup and became the first British team to enter an America's Cup Match in 60 years, and the first to score points in the Match in 90 years. Fletcher was handed the wheel of the Emirates GBR F50 ahead of the 2025 Season and secured two podium finishes at his first two events.
