SailGP today published its 2025 Season Purpose & Impact Report, detailing a transformative year across sustainability, gender equity and youth engagement – and setting the course for the league’s sharpened Better Sport strategy through 2030.
The report outlines progress delivered across SailGP’s 12-event global calendar, including the milestone achievement of 100% of events powered by clean energy and significant operational efficiencies through innovation.
Ahead of the season, SailGP refined its Better Sport strategy with three clear targets for the end of the decade, with a clear focus on engaging the next generation of racing fans: two female athletes in every race crew in key role, 100,000 young people engaged through Next Generation programs, and one million digital followers aged 18–24.
The 2025 Season also marked a landmark moment for gender equity, with the first female driver stepping into the F50 cockpit and claiming a fleet race win in her debut season
In parallel, 11,383 young people were engaged through SailGP Inspire during the 2025 Season – bringing total participation to 34,132 to date, alongside global partner Mubadala – underscoring the league’s long-term commitment to the next generation
SailGP Managing Director Andrew Thompson said the 2025 Season represented “a standout year for SailGP and its partners – one where ambition turned into action and performance, impact and commercial growth lived side by side.”
